Crafty Like A Dense Fox

I'm not very crafty. I'm more of an explorer. I find ideas, collect material for said ideas, and then hand them off to my mother to do. It's a system of sorts.

I'm more capable of crafts that take the coordination and dexterity of an underdeveloped slug. The above require very little of anything resembling talent which make them perfect for a simple easy home project.

Mason jars are my absoloute favourite. They are cheap and easy to replace and can be used as vases, candle holders, or drinking glasses. The ones filled with candles at the wedding above are so gorgeous! Even the hanging one our sliding glass door (pictured up top) prompted Doug to oooh and aww.

Enjoy the day my lovelies!! xx

  1. They're beautiful Jessa. And oooo, I love the ones with the candles in them. I have a hard time believing that you're not crafty with everything you're doing for your child's room!!! I, however, am definitely NOT crafty, so the simple ideas work great for me.

    Love the pics. Thanks.

  2. I am so like that.. I collect all these amazing stones, pieces of fabric, findings etc.. to make jewellery and more often than not they sit my box waiting that special moment when I find inspiration to create. I also have my mom making some cashmere felted balls after having an idea of making a felted ball necklace... lol, glad to know I am not the only one using "mommy labour".

However I have to say after being at your house you do put your creativity to use, you have a beautiful home.

  5. I have an aunt that is a little like Martha Stewart, and if she didn't live in Saskatchewan I would totally enlist her to do my crafty bidding. Crafts give me palpitations, even the children's craft isle. I would love to be a scrap booker-stamper-paper godess but it ain't gonna happen!!!

  6. Thank you everyone!! Ruth and Aly you give me far too much credit. I think I have a good eye though which I suppose is half the battle. Being able to cut in a straight line would be a plus though as well!!

Laura, I would love to have you here as often as you like!! I think of you guys everyday and am praying your referral comes soon.

Alicia, I hear ya! My mom did our wedding scrapbook due to my incompetency. ; )
